Institutional History
Lusaka Open Business College (LOBC) was established in 2014 as a Business College offering both open distance learning (ODL) and conventional business programmes. It is registered as a private company and as a TEVETA institution. In 2021, LOBC introduced the Registered Nursing Diploma which is registered with the High Education Authority and the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Zambia and awaiting the issuance of the license.

What We Do
LOBC is poised to offer quality skills training in business, business education and entrepreneurship. It is meant to capture a wide and untapped market of clientele who yearn for the requisite skills needed to own and manage self-owned enterprises and administer other businesses efficiently and effectively. Our potential clientele includes school leavers who may wish to venture into business, people already in business and corporations wishing to have their employees trained in specific business skills. LOBC offers training in business skills in the form of seminars, workshops and long-term courses, ranging from Foundation Certificate to Advanced Diploma, through both open distance learning (ODL) and conventional modes.

For those looking to enhance their technical skills, we offer short computer courses in Information Systems, Microsoft Office Tools, Database Management Systems, and more. Our online short courses, including First Aid CPR, Pediatric First Aid, and Sales and Marketing, provide flexibility and convenience for busy professionals.
We also focus on fostering entrepreneurship through practical short courses in Food Production, Cosmetology, and Make-Up Application. Our commitment to holistic education ensures that our graduates are well-equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to succeed in their chosen careers and contribute positively to society.
