Lusaka Open Business and Health Sciences college is a private college offering training in

Health Sciences Courses in Registered General Nursing Diploma, Health Care Assistant and Psychosocial Counselling. Our Health Sciences programmes are approved by the General Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ), Zambia Counselling Council (ZCC) and Higher Education Authority.

In addition, we offer Business skills in the form of seminars, workshops and long-term courses, ranging from Foundation Certificate to Advanced Diploma, through both open distance learning (ODL) Online Classes and conventional modes since 2014.

Lusaka Open Business and Health Sciences college is also affiliated with Chalimbana University on various programmes.

Further, the College is affiliated with British Council and is an approved centre for IELTS Lessons for those aspiring to work in the UK.

Our Mission

Lusaka Open Business and Health Sciences College Ltd exists to provide quality courses Registered General Nursing Diploma, Health Care Assistant, Psychosocio Counselling and programmes from specific Skills Awards through Foundation Certificate to Advanced Diploma in business studies, in addition to imparting excellent entrepreneurial values and practices that enable students to meet their entrepreneurial needs and aspirations at individual, family, community, national and global levels.

Our Philosophy

We at Lusaka Open Business and Health Sciences College believe that Health Science and Business education must go beyond learning for knowing, acquiring skills, and administering attitudes. For that is the role of schooling and socialization. Our philosophy is premised on the acquisition of conceptual, operational, and practical competencies (of the minds, hearts, and hands-on learning events) for immediate and long-term individual and societal transformation, empowerment, and betterment. In order to achieve excellence in this regard, our system aims at practicing research thereby graduating learners and trainees from the level of only content mastery to the practical wisdom of knowledge production, problem-solving, decision-making, and creative realizations. Appreciation of (new) ideas, entrepreneurial understanding, and concrete applications serve as our key value-chain benchmarks in content delivery, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of Lusaka Open Business and Health Sciences College learning and training.

Under Health Sciences we want to produce ethically disciplined and highly competent health service providers that can be entrusted with the management of public and primary health care services.
